Fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon to join the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center in August

Blake E. Peterson, M.D., fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon, will be joining the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center in August. Patients in need of specialized hip, knee, joint replacement or sports medicine care are encouraged to call (816) 233-9888 to schedule an appointment. Dr. Peterson will be available to see patients at the practice's St. Joseph office, 3107 Frederick Ave., Suite B.

As a fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon, Dr. Peterson has extensive surgical expertise in hip and knee replacement, including anterior hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement and outpatient joint replacement surgery as well as complex and revision hip and knee surgery. He also offers nonoperative treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions.

After receiving his doctor of medicine degree from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri, Dr. Peterson completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia, Missouri. Following his residency, Dr. Peterson underwent extensive specialty training by completing a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia.
